  • Shelves adjustable in 50mm increments

With a load capacity of up to 500kg per shelf (for uniformly distributed loads), our Picking 500 Shelving Unit is the perfect storage solution for manually loaded, bulky goods, such as boxes, packages and similar items.

This heavy-duty shelving unit has a maximum load capacity of 500kg per shelf and boasts a multitude of customisation options, so that you can personalise your shelving and choose the materials and dimensions you require. This way, you can select the height (up to 2500mm), depth (up to 1000mm) and number of shelves that best suits your needs.

Each Picking 500 frame consists of:

  • 4 slotted uprights (2000, 2500 or 3000mm) with a blue or galvanised finish.
  • 4 metal footplates for the bottom of the uprights.
  • Bolts for anchoring the bay to the floor.

Each shelf is adjustable in 50mm increments and consists of:

  • 2 long beams for the front/back
  • 2 short beams for the sides
  • 1 sheet of 19mm chipboard or (borderless) melamine decking, or a set of metal panels, depending on your chosen material.
  • Galvanised centre supports, depending on your chosen dimensions (see datasheet).

Each bay comes with an epoxy powder and/or galvanised finish. The 4 options are:

  • Blue and orange
  • Blue and grey
  • Orange and galvanised
  • Galvanised

A row of shelves is composed of a starter bay and as many extension bays as you need. Please note that, in order to create a row of shelves, the bays should be of the same depth, but the height and the width can be different.

To create a row of heavy-duty shelving in your warehouse, you’ll need:

  • A starter bay: This type of bay is composed of 4 uprights and as many shelves as you would like. It can be installed independently and does not necessarily need to be connected to another bay.
  • Some extension bays: It is always installed alongside another bay, with which it will share a set of uprights, as shown in the image below. This type of bay is composed of 2 uprights and as many shelves as you would like.

To calculate the total length of the row, you should add 160mm to the width of the starter bay and 50mm to each extension bay in the row. As an added security measure, we recommend anchoring the bays to the floor using the bolts included with each shelving unit. Additionally, we recommend leaving a gap of 100mm on either side of the row.
