The Galva Picking 250 Shelving Unit is durable, customisable and easy to assemble. It is one of our most popular storage solutions for medium-duty loads, thanks to its load capacity of 340kg per shelf.
These galvanised shelving units are often employed in garages, workshops and the storerooms of shops and businesses, thanks to their rust-resistant properties.
A row can be constructed using a starter bay and as many extension bays as needed to meet your requirements.
What’s the difference between a starter bay and an extension bay?
- Starter bay: This type of bay is composed of 4 uprights and as many shelves as you would like. It can be installed independently and does not necessarily need to be connected to another bay. It is always the starting point for a row of bays.
- Extension bay: This type of bay is composed of 2 uprights and as many shelves as you would like. It is always installed alongside another bay, with which it will share a set of uprights, as shown in the image below.
A row of shelving bays is composed of an initial starter bay and as many extension bays as required.
To calculate the total length of the row, you should add 120mm to the width of the starter bay and 50mm to each extension bay in the row.
Each shelf consists of two long beams and galvanised steel panels. As an added safety measure, we recommend anchoring the different bays to the floor using anchor bolts. Additionally, we recommend leaving a gap of 100mm on either side of the row.
Our galvanised Picking shelving units are the perfect storage solution for manual loading and offer the durability required for storing medium-duty loads in a business or at home. More specifically, they are capable of supporting loads of between 220 and 340kg, depending on the setup you choose.
In fact, almost every aspect of this shelving unit is customisable: choose from 3 different heights, 4 widths, 4 depths and 3-8 shelves. This means that you can measure your free space and set your shelving up based on your measurements. Additionally, with shelves that are adjustable in 25mm increments, you’ll have a lot of flexibility when it comes to storing specific goods.
This medium-duty, galvanised shelving unit is also recommended for storing boxes and packages, in addition to weighty and bulky products.
