With maximum loads of up to 750kg per shelf, the Galva Picking 600 is one of the most durable storage systems around. It sits squarely in the heavy-duty category, although its maximum load may vary from 540 to 750kg per shelf, depending on your chosen dimensions.
Our galvanised Picking shelving units are ideal storage solutions for manually loaded goods in industrial warehouses, shops and businesses. As they are made from galvanised steel, they also stand out due to their resistance to corrosion.
Another advantage of these shelving units is that they can be combined into rows, using a starter bay and as many extension bays as required.
Differences between a starter bay and an extension bay
- Starter bay: This type of bay is composed of 4 uprights and as many shelves as you would like. It can be installed independently and does not necessarily need to be connected to another bay. It is always the starting point for a row of bays.
- Extension bay: This type of bay is composed of 2 uprights and as many shelves as you would like. It is always installed alongside another bay, with which it will share a set of uprights, as shown in the image below.
A row of shelving bays is composed of an initial starter bay and as many extension bays as required to meet your shelving needs.
To calculate the total length of the row, you should add 120mm to the width of the starter bay and 50mm to each extension bay in the row. Additionally, we recommend leaving a gap of 100mm on either side of the row.

It’s also a very versatile shelving unit, given that it can be customised in terms of height, depth and number of shelves. It has been designed to store all kinds of goods, so its shelves are adjustable in 25mm increments. Assembly is simple, but you will need a 10mm fixed spanner.
This galvanised shelving unit is recommended for storing heavy and bulky boxes, packages and goods.
